Shipping DamageUpdated 2 days ago
As a rule, shipments arrive in perfect condition. However, sometimes shipments are damaged in transit.
When your shipment arrives, you must inspect it for any damage. A box in good condition doesn't necessarily mean an undamaged item. Make the driver wait (they are required to) while you quickly open the box and check the product. Check for:
- Broken glass, plastic or other parts
- Any moving pieces are functioning
- If the box is damaged/open, check for missing parts
- Dents or scratches, especially if the box shows significant damage
- Any other visible damage
You may refuse delivery for significant damage, or if accepting delivery you must describe any damage on the bill of lading (BOL) when signing for the delivery, and you must save all packing materials. If you do not note damage at time of delivery or if you discard the packaging, we cannot file a claim on your behalf; thus we MAY NOT accept a return on the damaged item.
Next notify our team ASAP to start the exchange process. We'll need your copy of the BOL and photos of the shipping box and of the damaged product. We want to get your replacement shipment out ASAP, so you can get back to your project!
