Appropriate Packaging for ReturnsUpdated 3 days ago
Original Packaging
The best packaging for a return is the original box and packing materials if they're still available and in good shape.
Other Packaging
If you no longer have the original packaging, follow these important guidelines.
For each type of product, carefully choose appropriate packaging to ensure safe and secure shipping:
All Items: Wrap the item and any detachable parts in protective materials like bubble wrap or foam, ensuring all sides are cushioned. Place it in a sturdy box with ample cushioning that fits snugly into the box to prevent shifting during transit.
Delicate or Sensitive Items: Use a sturdy, appropriately sized box with enough room to add protective padding (like bubble wrap or foam) around the item. To prevent shifting inside the box, ensure the item with sufficient padding fits snugly inside the box.
Large, Heavy Items: Select a heavy-duty box designed to handle the weight and size of the item. Reinforce the box with strong packing tape, and use ample cushioning materials to absorb shocks and prevent shifting inside the box.
EcoFlow Products: If you no longer have the original box, you may request packaging from EcoFlow to ensure safe transport. Contact us to get the appropriate packaging materials sent to you.
Non-EcoFlow Batteries: Batteries are classified as dangerous goods, thus must comply with legal shipping regulations. You must affix this label to any battery shipment. Other requirements may include specific packaging and documentation as required by shipping carriers and safety standards.
NOTE ON BATTERIES: Most shippers will not accept any type of lithium battery without both: 1. The correct label showing the shipping class, and 2. The safety doc The UN 3480 label is specifically for lithium-ion batteries, and the safety docs specific to that battery must accompany the shipment. The EcoFlow Power Kit 5 kWh LFP batteries, require this UN 38.3 certification doc. |
Hazardous Items: Some items are not returnable because they are considered hazardous materials.
Windows or Other Glass Items: You must package the item sufficiently to protect against breakage. Use a sturdy, appropriately sized box with room to add plenty of protective padding (like bubble wrap or foam) around the item. Prevent shifting during transit with sufficient padding that secures the item snugly inside the box.
Insurance and Tracking
When returning items worth $75 or more, consider using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. Otherwise, if your shipment is lost or damaged we cannot credit you for returned items.
